URGENT - ACTION NEEDED ON CITY COUNCIL REDISTRICTING

Submitted by lizfuller on Thu, 02/09/2012 - 22:45.

Dear Stakeholders -

As many of you know, when the first draft map of new Los Angeles City Council districts was released on January 25, the Greater Wilshire area was united - as we had requested - within one council district (instead of the three we've been divided among for the last 10 years). At the same time, however, the draft map put the united GWNC area wholly within Council District 5, instead of CD 4, which has traditionally represented about 75% of our area.

The first of these meetings will be held on Wednesday, February 1 in our own back yard - at the Ebell Theater, 4401 W. 8th St., at 6:30 p.m.
