Locally Convenient Ethics Training Session for NC Board Members and Alternates

The City Attorney Neighborhood Council Advice Division will be delivering a live Ethics and Open Government training (state-required training) on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at:

The Neighborhood Council Plan, city-wide, is being reviewed by a group of new and former neighborhood council members to make recommendations to the City of Los Angeles for ways to improve the system for everyone.

Please join a coalition of local Neighborhood Council Representatives in a discussion as they call for your input for revisions and improvements to the Neighborhood Council Plan. Your participation is welcomed and all stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

Parking Notice: Beginning with this meeting and from this date on, as a safety precaution, our Ebell hosts have requested that all GWNC meeting attendees please use the Ebell’s porte cochere entrance off of the parking lot on the west side of the clubhouse. This lot will be open for parking as well, and is accessible from 8th Street, at the south end of the Ebell complex. The porte cochere entrance is the northern-most entrance off the west parking lot.

Two Important Surveys: Budget and Libraries

The City of Los Angeles has asked for our Neighborhood Council's help in publicizing and recruiting respondents for two important surveys. Please take a few minutes to provide your input:

1. Mayor's Budget Survey

This is an annual survey asking participants for their opinions on both funding and spending priorities for the coming fiscal year. How would you balance our city budget? Take some time to tell City Hall...at http://la.budgetchallenge.org

2. Library Survey

What is your vision for the library of the future? Your answer will help the Los Angeles Public Library to create a strategic plan that will shape the library's services and programs over the next five years.
